In case you were wondering, I wasn’t dead or anything. Just busy working on the latest and greatest Galaxy S8 Plus case. This one isn’t your typical boxy case like the clear case or slim profile case we made in the past few weeks though. This one has been on my list of ideas to make for a long time now, but I had to wait until the right material came along to bring it to life and justify its existence… Enter woven mesh!
It doesn’t matter how clean you keep your computer case, odds are it will eventually become home to a serious collection of dust. No matter how often you go through your cleaning routine, by the end of summer, your build will be littered with enough cat hair to start a new life for your feline friend. Obviously, no one wants to pick their computer up to find out there is more cat hair on their chassis than at the local hair salon!
Today, we are taking a look at yet another case from Lian Li; it’s the PC-TU100B and it’s based on their venerable PC-TU100 Mini-ITX chassis that was released back in 2012. This new iteration of the case has some serious changes compared to the original, with the most notable being that this new version has holes in the motherboard tray and supports full-sized graphics cards.
The Mesh Treatment: How to Get that Pyramid Shape
If you’re designing your own computer case, you’ve probably heard of the mesh treatment. But what exactly does that mean? Why would you want to make your case out of mesh? Where do you even start? Follow along as we show you how to give any case the mesh treatment so you can design a custom computer or gaming PC case that can turn heads. We’ll even show you how to build it so it doesn’t take up too much room and still leaves plenty of airflows for your components to breathe!
Mesh cases are great because they allow your phone to be protected while still looking sleek and cool. This is especially true when you get the pyramid-shaped case because that shape instantly makes your phone look like it just popped out of a science fiction movie! One common problem with these cases, though, is that getting them to have the perfect pyramid shape can be a little tricky. In order for your case to look like it belongs in Star Wars, you need to know how to get that pyramid shape!
Pyramid shaped cases have been getting more and more popular lately, but many people don’t know how to achieve that pyramid look themselves. If you are looking to get that pyramid shape, there are a few different options you can choose from. Here we’re going to give you three of the most popular methods for achieving this look, so you can easily create your own pyramid case!
A short introduction
Cases are one of the most important accessories that you can get for your phone, as it protects your expensive device from getting damaged. They come in many different shapes and styles, but this pyramid-shaped case from Vinve is guaranteed to be a conversation starter! Made out of mesh fabric with a silicone border, it has an eye-catching design that’s sure to turn heads.
Step 1 – Getting the perfect shape
When designing a case, the first step is to choose the perfect shape for your idea. A variety of shapes are available, including circular, square, and rectangle. Think about your plans for using your case if you are unsure which one is best for you. For example, if you carry it around a lot and never set it down, then a round-shaped case would be great because it won’t take up much room in your bag or car.
Step 2 – Adding the mesh layer
After turning on the machine and adding the fabric, it’s time to add the mesh. Protecting your phone against bumps and drops is our top priority, so we use a very strong mesh. Once you have aligned the corners of the mesh with those of the case, it’s time to lock them down in place. This can be done by simply lowering the presser foot and moving it across to each corner, pressing down firmly as you go.
Step 3 – Insert the components
The case is made of very durable polyurethane, which I like because it’s lightweight and doesn’t add a lot of bulk to the phone. In addition, the bottom of the case has an extra thick layer that helps absorb impacts from falls. The only thing I don’t like about this case is that it adds just enough thickness to make it difficult to press certain buttons on the phone, like volume controls and power buttons.
Step 4 – Organize your cables and hide them
Before you put everything in the case, take a minute to organize your cables and hide them. It’s best to keep the most frequently used ones at the front of the case, where they’re easy to access. You can also use Velcro cable ties to bundle together cords that are going into the same port or that are a similar length. A better way is to buy some adhesive Velcro strips (you know, the kind with two fuzzy sides) and stick them onto your case. If you don’t want to do any of this, then just wrap all of your cables up like one big tangled mess before putting it inside.
When it comes to showing off your iPhone, the Pyramid Shape case is a good choice. There are two colors to choose from, and it is made of durable plastic with a microfiber lining. The case is open-faced, which means that it doesn’t provide any protection for the front of the phone. All-in-all, this is a stylish case with an affordable price tag. If you’re looking for something different than what you typically see on the market, then this case might be just what you’re looking for!
